What is Celebrant Singers?
Celebrant Singers is a contemporary Christian music and missions ministry with its international headquarters in Visalia, California.
How and when did you start?
Celebrant Singers was founded by Jon Stemkoski, and the first team began in the summer of 1977.
What is the scope of your ministry?
Celebrant Singers teams have ministered in all 50 states across the U.S., throughout Canada, Mexico and 104 additional nations around the world. More than 8 million people have attended a live concert with Celebrants. Countless others have received ministry through CDs and broadcasts.
Is Celebrant Singers associated with any denomination?
No. Celebrant Singers is interdenominational (ecumenical) in nature. Our office staff and road teams represent a broad spectrum of Christian backgrounds from across the U.S., Canada, and around the world.
How is your organization funded?
We are not financed by any corporation or religious denomination. We are a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization recognized by the Federal Government. Our annual budget is raised through donations, missionary support raised by individual team members, offerings at our services in North America, and the sale of CDs and other products.
Is there more than one team of Celebrant Singers?
We currently have a California Team that conducts weekend ministry in California, Nevada and Arizona, and a Summer Team which ministers in the U.S. and selected overseas destinations during the month of July. Both types of teams are inter-generational in makeup and are comprised of singers, instrumentalists and technicians from ages 18-80. (For more info click here)

How It All Started…
It was in Poland in 1975, while ministering in that country’s largest Catholic cathedrals, that Jon Stemkoski heard the call of God in a new way. “Take the life-changing message of Christ throughout the world … where my light is dim and my voice is heard small.” In response to His call, Jon founded CELEBRANT SINGERS, an international music & missions ministry headquartered in Visalia, California.
Since our first major outreach throughout the United States, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia in the summer of 1977, we’ve remained true to the vision by training, mobilizing and deploying over 3,200 musical missionaries to minister in all 50 states, all Canadian provinces and 104 additional countries. Iran, India, Cuba, Morocco, Albania, Bulgaria, Venezuela, Colombia, Iceland, France, Kenya, Rwanda, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Northern Ireland and countless other nations have all been targets of our ministry.
