Our 2023 summer outreach was one of the most powerful and significant in our 46-year history.
We’ve been praying for Taiwan and desiring to go for the last three years. In 2021, our plans were interrupted as the country broke out into a full-blown Covid-19 epidemic. In 2022, Poland and the Ukrainian refugee crisis took precedence. But, 2023 turned out to be God’s perfect timing for us to be there.
There’s a pall hanging over Taiwan today. They’re under extreme pressure and in great need. “Sabre rattling” from Communist China is felt daily as their warplanes and ships flex their muscles to intimidate and unsettle the island’s population. There’s an underlying feeling of fear, anxiety and numbness in the Taiwanese people. They desperately need encouragement, uplift, and the hope of the gospel.
China’s clear objective is to “reunify” with Taiwan. This really means they plan to take it over. And when they do, the Taiwanese people…especially Christians…will suffer.
The challenges were many. The courage and faith required was significant, and the display of God’s faithfulness to us and the Taiwanese people was amazing. In Hsinchu, Tainan, Taishung and in the capital city of Taipei, we reached thousands of hurting people during this historic outreach.
While CELEBRANT SINGERS were the “goers”, you…our faithful prayer partner and supporter…played the role of “sender.” As such, YOU have a share in every
life changed for time and eternity…and we want to share the joy!
By means of this very special virtual Homecoming event via the internet, we want to say THANK YOU to the Lord, and also to you, our partner and friend, for the wonderful blessings God brought forth during this time of ministry. You’ll enjoy some music from our concerts and TV appearances, and testimonies of God’s goodness during the outreach. I’ll also share the vision for the upcoming year and ask for your prayers and financial commitment to help make it all a reality.*
