“The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.” – Lamentations 3:25

Have you ever endured a prolonged season of “waiting” on God for the provision and direction you desperately need? Perhaps you’re in one right now. You’re working hard and praying diligently but the heavens are as brass and the answers just aren’t coming? What do you do then?

Waiting has to be one of life’s least enjoyable experiences. From the minor irritation of a long, slow, grocery line to something much more serious and anxiety-building as waiting for news of a loved one undergoing life-threatening surgery – waiting is tough. When an extended period of waiting comes our way, we can grow extremely anxious and seriously weary. Why isn’t God answering my prayers? The worst thing that can happen to a believer at such times, is to lose hope. For the Bible says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.”

Be encouraged! Today’s episode of ENCOURAGING WORDS offers you the great hope, comfort, and assurance found in the Psalms, and the importance of cultivating and maintaining an expectant heart.
